Requiem For A Dream is one of the most touching movies I’ve ever seen. It shows the lives of four people, Harry (Jared Leto), a young junky trying to make a better life for himself and his girlfriend, Marion (Jennifer Connelly), Harry’s girlfriend, Tyrone (Marlon Wayans), Harry’s best friend, and Sara (Ellen Burstyn), Harry’s mother. Throughout the movie each of them begins slipping away into darkness and despair due to various forms of addiction.

In the words of Wikipedia, “The film depicts different forms of addiction, leading to the characters’ imprisonment in a dream world of delusion and reckless desperation that is subsequently overtaken and devastated by reality.”

This movie is more then just a movie, it is art.

This is the first movie in a long time to make me cry. (in the past it really was not that hard to make me cry)
